twelve::newlywed::faith

on a wing and a prayer

if i'm completely honest, i'm struggling a little at the moment. struggling with hope, with hoping.

and yet it is the practice of faith, the practice of hope that i return to again.

does it ever seem that reading the word can be difficult. an effort? weary because you don't want to read the promises again? sometimes, i think hearing them is more important. i've been listening to my daily readings recently. the youversion bible app, has an extraordinary feature - you can listen. and on reading plans, it will go right through all the listed readings for the day.

it literally speaks to your heart. he's speaking to mine.

today:
5  Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,

6  who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who keeps faith forever; - psalm 146:5&6

sometimes hope needs to be spoken into our lives. and it's really been done in so many ways already this week. fellowship around our table. phone calls across oceans. friends treating us to a night out. there is hope for this moment, and the next one. that is all we need.
